Cocktails originated in England and the United States in the late 18th century, but their popularity skyrocketed in the 1920s in the US. Adding fruit and non-alcoholic mixers helped mask the taste of low-quality, illegal alcohol during Prohibition. However, that has changed, and nowadays, looking for the best and highest quality ingredients is preferred.
Hence, this summer, we are excited to have put together our first collaborative cocktails juntas with lively hues and distinctive tastes that speak to many Latinas! Our ambassadors made a great job crafting tastes that speak to the flavors that we grew up with and we crave.

WineDivaa’s Bubbly Unicorn Sherry Tonic
Why not try the Bubbly Unicorn Sherry Tonic instead of the popular Tiktok Unicorn Water? As someone who enjoys the herbaceous notes in a Gin and Tonic, the Sherry Tonic with Fino Sherry has a dry profile that perfectly complements the Tonic water. Plus, it contains less alcohol than Gin. Add a splash of Unicorn Syrup to your Sherry Tonic for a colorful twist.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 to 1 TBSP Unicorn Syrup
- 3 oz of Tonic Water
- 2 oz of Fino Sherry
- Ice
- Lime for garnish (optional)
- Sparkling water to top it off (optional)
Directions
Add all ingredients to a glass and stir with a straw. Sit back, sip on your Bubbly Unicorn Sherry Tonic, and enjoy!
Evie’s Sparkling Spicy Margarita.
Evie states that one of her favorite cocktails is the Spicy Margarita. Hence, she twisted it and created a Sparkling Spicy Margarita.
Ingredients:
Here are the measurements in a shaker add:
2 shots of Trader Joe’s Jalapeño Limeade
1/2 shot of Tequila Blanco (Evie recommends Casa Dragones, which is a women-owned/led tequila company)
1/2 shot of Cointreau (or you can use Triple Sec)
Directions:
Blend all ingredients and shake
To prep your glass: On a bowl, add chamoy (we used I love chamoy, which is Latina owned business). In another bowl, add some Tajin. Take the rim of your glass and dip it into the chamoy first, then the Tajin.
Next, add ice. Then pour the margarita mix into the glass.
To make it bubbly, add a shot of sparkling wine. You can use a light-bodied sparkling wine such as Prosecco DOC or Cava de Guarda DO. Then add a wedge of lime and enjoy.
