Celebrating Texas Wines: From Texas to New York City in October
In honor of the Latinas Wine Club’s five-year anniversary, Cynthia proudly curated a selection of exceptional Texas wines to enhance our festivities. This collection showcases the diverse and vibrant offerings from Texas vineyards, each bottle thoughtfully chosen to contribute to the joy and camaraderie of the occasion, bringing a true taste of Texas to our celebration.
Among the highlights was the Pedernales Cellars Kyla Sparkling Semillon, a refreshing and elegant choice that set the celebratory tone with its lively bubbles and crisp flavors. The Bending Branch Winery 2021 Bourbon Barrel Aged Tannatintroduced a bold complexity, its rich, velvety notes providing a delightful contrast to the sparkling wine.
The Duchman Family Winery 2023 Vermentinoand 2018 Aglianico further delighted our palates with their distinct profiles and harmonious balance. The Vermentino, characterized by its light and aromatic qualities, paired beautifully with lighter fare, while the Aglianico offered deep, earthy tones that complemented heartier dishes.
Another standout was the Pedernales Cellars 2020 Tempranillo from Daniel Vineyard, embodying the robust and spirited nature of Texas wines. Its smooth tannins and ripe fruit flavors quickly made it a crowd favorite.
Completing our selection was the Spicewood Vineyards 2021 Red Label Tempranillo, which brought a taste of tradition with its classic varietal expression. Additionally, the Ron Yates Get Together Premium Wine in a Box, featuring Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petite Verdot, provided a convenient and delightful option for sharing among friends, embodying the spirit of hospitality that defines our gatherings.
