Wines of Languedoc Art of Vibration's immersive experience in New York City
Wines of Languedoc presented Art of Vibration’s immersive experience occurred in New York City on Monday, October 7th, 2024.
The participants embarked on a dreamlike journey through a living canvas designed by Roman Hill, a Paris-based artist and director who has captured the Languedoc region’s hypnotic colors, sound, and lights. This immersive experience was not just about tasting wine but about connecting with the emotional landscape of the terroir, making it a truly engaging experience at the Halls de Lumieres in Downtown Manhattan.
Languedoc is a wine region in the South of France that has been working to redefine itself in the world of wine. It generally has a Mediterranean climate and grows a variety of different grapes.
One of our members, Priya Sangameswaran, joined the event and shared some highlights of the event with us.
“The wines represented were varied, with whites including Marsanne, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and Carignan Blanc, lesser-known grapes. These wines had notes of apples, cooked apples, grass, and caramel, with varying acidity levels.
There was also a variety of rosés, the most popular of which was “ô” by Maison Lorgeril. This wine had balanced acidity with citrus notes, flowers, and some salinity.
The reds were quite ripe, with notes of cooked fruit and toffee. I didn’t particularly fancy any of the ones I tried, but I would still be open to exploring the region.”
These immersive experiences are more than just wine tastings. They allow us to immerse ourselves in the region’s rich culture, offering a unique opportunity to explore other cultures just beyond the cork. At Latinas Wine Club, we applaud Languedoc Wines’ efforts and look forward to participating in more events that enrich us culturally.
